This motor is capable of generating up to 605 HP, 1,925 ft-lbs of torque, and rotating at speeds up to 8,000 rpm (see below for specific power-speed and torque-speed curves). In order to facilitate these performance levels, the motor must be cooled by forcing pressurized oil through the motor casing. The bearings are lubricated in the same manner. The motor is sold as part of a packaged system which includes, at a minimum, the motor, a reservoir base and an oil recirculating system. The standard gravity return oil recirculating system is shown here. A remote location oil recirculating system is also available.
